Every year, the Hire A Hubby National Conference is a special opportunity to celebrate the core of our network: experience, community, and an unshakable commitment to service. This year, the energy was at an all-time high as we gathered at the Ascot Park Hotel alongside our sister brand, Green Acres, to honour the legends making waves in our franchise network.
The atmosphere was one of immense pride. One of the strongest themes resonating throughout the halls was the empowerment of business ownership, our franchisees' ability to control their own time, their income, and, most importantly, their family life. While our award winners took centre stage, their success reflects the dedication found in every "Hubby" across Aotearoa.
To help our franchisees move from "average" to "elite," we were privileged to host two world-class guest speakers who pushed us to rethink our business strategies.
For over two decades, Darren Shand was the driving force behind the culture that made the New Zealand All Blacks the most successful sports team on the planet. He shared his unparalleled insights on navigating team dynamics and fostering collaborative environments. For our franchisees, his message was clear: building a peak-performance business requires the same leadership tools used on the world’s biggest rugby stages.
Referrals are the lifeblood of a local handyman business. John Morrell, an award-winning coach, led an interactive workshop on the "science of referral generation." We weren’t alone at the Ascot Park Hotel. We were joined throughout the three-day conference by our incredible alliance partners.
